Why You Shouldn’t Care What People Think

Why You Shouldn't Care What People Think

Happy Halloween, everyone!! Today’s post is a video blog, and its about reasons why you shouldn’t care what other people think. In this video I give you a review of points that I have come to realize regarding my social anxiety issues and why what others thing about you doesn’t matter! Also, my family dog, Obee, makes an appearance to show off his Halloween costume. Trust me, you don’t want to miss that because its pretty cute (extended dog footage at the end of the video)!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, and I hope to see you here again soon!

Please subscribe to my YouTube channel for videos from me & my Yoga Channel as well! Also find me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, and Bloglovin! Have a beautiful day :)

Great message and SO true! I was like you as a kid and was painfully shy. For some reason I wouldn’t talk to men and my poor neighbor (who was the sweetest man ever!) spent years trying to get me to talk to him. I was probably 4 or 5 when I finally did and my parents said he was so ecstatic! LOL…fortunately, I too grew out of that and I’m much more confident now. I agree wholeheartedly that you can’t care what others think about you (not saying that I don’t at times worry about that), but in general you’re right…what others think of you isn’t your business. As long as I’m true to myself and I feel I’m being a good person, if someone else doesn’t like me…I’m okay with that. Great post & video! :)

Thank you, Vicky!! I definitely had similar situations with family members & friends of my parents. I felt badly that I couldn’t talk to them, but I just couldn’t make myself do it. And, you are so right! As long as we stay true to who we are, that’s all that matters! Thank you so much for your comment :)

WOW!! I LOVED this!!! When you said, “You’re not meant to be liked by everyone” that really hit home. I always want everyone to like me and I feel like if they don’t, I’m doing something wrong. Then I think, well, the friends that I do have like me and I didn’t do anything different with them. This was perfect timing for me!! Very well said, thank you!

Thank you, Michelle!! I am definitely the same. I always feel the need to play it safe because I want everyone to like me, but as you said, we are loved by our friends and family for a reason. They love us for who we are! So glad you liked the video! Thank you so much for your comment :)

NIce post and hiiiii, first time seeing you on video! :)
I was shy in primary school around new people, but sort of overcame that by challenging myself (more on that on my first video post on Monday, woop!). What others think is definitely none of your business. If we care too much about that, we lose ourselves. Of course, not everyone can like me/you/us, but that’s okay. We don’t like everybody either! It would personally freak me out if everybody liked me. If, for example, people I deem mean would like me. What would that say about me?
Stay true to who you are. :)

That fear is a HUGE WALL in a lot of lives….including mine. I try to keep telling myself this quote “I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody” ~Bill Cosby
This blogging challenge has started to help me through it, but I still have a ways to go.

That’s a great quote! My favorite Bill Cosby quote is, “Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.” That one’s been helping me out a lot over the past year. Its always going to be hard to “not care” about what others think, but as long as we are aware of it, I’m hoping that it’ll eventually get a little bit easier over time. Thanks for your comment, Glady :)

I love that you said “you create your own reality.” I constantly worry about what people think about me, and I don’t want how other people think effect me, and what I do, and I’m going to definitely remember that. Great message! BTW your dog is a adorable!
