10 Lesser-Known Facts About Me

So, I’ve been blogging on this site for about a year now, and I’ve shared a lot about myself. However, I’ve never done it in list form! So, for day 4 of the #FeelGoodBlogging Challenge, I’m going to do a post with 10 lesser-known facts about me! So, here goes nothing:

10 Lesser-Known Facts About Me!

1. I keep my friends for life!

I only have a handful of really good friends, and I like it that way. We all live in different places, but since they are my really close friends, I always think of them & try to reach out to them as much as possible. If they ever needed anything, I’d be there for them to the best of my ability no matter what. I’m a huge believer in quality over quantity. Once we’re friends, odds are, we’ll be friends for life!

2. I was a vegetarian (on & off) for 6 years.

Starting from about my second year of high school & ending the year after I graduated college, I was an on-again-off-again vegetarian. About 6 months after I graduated college, I started getting extremely bad heartburn, and feeling really ill. After some tests, I discovered that I had acid reflux disease & barrots esophagus (that’s doctor talk for not healthy). This problem required me to stay away from anything with any kind of acidity, and since most vegetables & fruit are acidic, I had to start eating really really plain things & was really restricted by my diet. So, I started eating meat again, and I never went back. I always say that eventually I will be a vegetarian again, but I’m going to do it when I’m ready. Not quite there yet at the moment.

3. I had a Justin Timberlake obsession from age 12 to 18.

“Its tearin’ up my heart when I’m with you, but when we are apart, I feel it too, and no matter what I do, I feel the pain, with or without you…” *Sigh*

4. I’m an only child!

I guess my parents felt that one of me was enough. I always wanted a sibling, but it never happened. Either way, the dog still gets more attention than I do.

5. In college, I had a beta fish named Wendy.

There’s not much I can say about that. She was the best fish I ever had, though. I’m pretty sure she cleaned her own tank because it was NEVER dirty. I use to clean it anyway, but compared to other fish that I’d seen, she was the neatest by far! That’s my kinda pet.

6. I’ve been to 4 out of the 7 continents.

In order I’ve been to North America, Europe, South America, & Africa. However, in about a month, I will be adding Asia to that list because I’m going to Sri Lanka! Woohoo!!

7. I cannot stand bugs.

Its not just a fear of bugs. I will literally jump out of the car screaming if there’s one in there. Not good if the car is moving. Also, if I know there’s a bug in my room, I will not be able to sleep unless I know its gone. Even if its like 3AM, there’s no way I am staying in there unless its been removed & I can be completely sure of that fact. Irrational? Maybe for some.

8. I can eat pizza for the rest of my life.

I love pizza, and if it was healthier for you, I would eat it for every single meal every single day for the rest of my life. Kind of odd for a yoga teacher to say, I know, but I am Italian-American after all.

9. I’m always really, really late with trends.

I’m just one of those people who waits until after things reach their popularity prime in order to try it out for myself, but then when I like something, I REALLY like it. Its the same concept as I discussed earlier about my friendships. It may take me a while to come around, but once I do, I’m there for life.

10. I’m “the tall one” in my family.

There may be a few male exceptions, but in my family, I’m considered as, “the tall one.” The funny part about that is that I’m only 5’ 4”!

Hi Abbigayle!! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!! That’s so funny because when I was younger, I went through a phase where I wanted to be a model, & I always wished I was taller!!! The grass is always greener, I guess lol :)

      • Abbigayle Rashae

        Christina,

I’ve been told by many that I should model, actually! But, I’ve looked at modeling requirements and the minimum is usually 5ft 10in. Also, my parents don’t want me to model, haha. So, for a normal girl, 5ft 8in is somewhat of an awkward height!

Hmm… in modeling school they told us that 5’7″ was the minimum height to walk the runway, but maybe they changed it because that was like 15 years ago (man, that makes me sound really old lol). Anyway, I don’t think its awkward, I think its awesome!! Hope you’re having a good weekend so far :)

            Christina,

I’m honestly not sure what the ‘official’ height is for anything. But the few places I looked they had height and weight requirements…those of which were 5′ 10. I think it’s awesome that you went to modeling school!
